This project began with auto-ethnographic research conducted in the Osa Peninsula, a well known eco-tourist destination with great prestige for being one of the most bio-diverse places in the world. This location became the perfect starting point to begin our exploration of the tourism phenomenon, and its relationship with nature and the people living there.
For a year and a half we documented our coexistence with tourists, locals of the area, and the dense nature surrounding us. The question, “what is our real relationship with nature?” arose through observations of nature, tourism, and a people’s endless struggle to survive.
